If your usual routine is thrown off a bit today due to Election Day and the kids have a day off, here is a list of some activities around town that you could try if you need to get out of the house (we need to do that here, and as my wallet cannot take another trip to Target, I think we will try one of the listed events!)
Enjoy the day!
Story Time at Pottery Barn Kids (located at King of Prussia Mall)
* Every Tuesday, 11:00 am to 11:30 AM; Members receive an Official Book Club Passport the first time they participate, and a special gift after five visits! (as cancellations can occur, please check with the store to ensure it is happening)
Tyler Arboretum – Nature Kids (for kids aged 6 to 9) – Deer Me!
* Come learn about the white-tailed deer, our largest mammal! Learn how far they can jump as part of how they have adapted to survive. Kids will also learn about how the Lenape Indians used deer to survive the woodlands. $6 for members, $8 for non-members. Further information available on the Tyler website.
Jumpers – Newtown Square
* Bring the kids for a morning or afternoon of jumping fun – let them burn off some energy on the Giant Safari Slides, the Jungle Obstacles and so much more! They even have an area for the littlest of your group called the “Little Club” play area. Hours today are 10 AM to 5 PM. Please see their website for further information, including prices and directions.
Pump it Up – Chalfont
* Weekday jump times are from 10 AM to 11:30 AM or 1 PM to 2:30 PM; one low price of $5.50 per child for Family Jump Time includes jumping, a cool drink and a light snack. For directions and other information about Pump it Up, please visit their website.
Those are just a few of the things happening locally – if you happen upon something you think other moms and dads would enjoy please share it with us on our Facebook page! And if you don’t feel like heading out, how about staying home and working on a few crafts to get the kids ready for the upcoming holiday season? One of my favorite places to look for craft ideas to work on with the kids is Family Fun Magazine – you can search for a craft idea by age, material, craft type, etc. and it is a great resource! So check them out! And let us know what you end up making!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
