Get into the holiday spirit this season with everyone’s favorite furry friends!
Sesame Place®, the nation’s only theme park based entirely on the award-winning show Sesame Street®, invites guests this holiday season to A Very Furry Christmas, a festive family-friendly celebration with everyone’s favorite furry friends. Beginning November 23rd, the park will be transformed into a one-of-a-kind holiday winter wonderland where visitors can enjoy cheerful Christmas music, twinkling lights and spectacular seasonal entertainment.
This year, the park is enhancing their holiday festivities by adding a second trackless Furry Express train as well as adding new features to the Gingerbread Cookie Factory tour where guests can experience how Twiddlebugs bake their famous chocolate gingerbread cookies.
“From the festive attractions to the special Christmas treats, there is no better place for families to get into the holiday spirit than alongside their favorite Sesame Street friends at Sesame Place,” said Bob Caruso, Sesame Place Park President. “A Very Furry Christmas brings out that holiday imagination in the hearts and minds of families in a way that no other place can.”
At A Very Furry Christmas, guests can enjoy the park’s mechanical rides, a larger-than-life Christmas tree and light show, a nightly parade set to festive music and one-of-a-kind fun-filled shopping in the park’s gift shops. There will be three Christmas shows, as well as an opportunity to share a
holiday-themed meal with Elmo & friends and a visit with Santa Claus during special character dining experiences that are sure to please everyone in the family.
On Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th, guests can catch multiple performances of CHOO-CHOO SOUL as they entertain children with their soulful renditions of seasonal favorites. To conclude the holiday season and ring in the year 2014, guests are invited to celebrate New Year’s Eve with Sesame Street characters on December 31st with an impressive fireworks show set to exciting and fun music.
General admission tickets for A Very Furry Christmas are on sale now for $24.99, which includes a free second day throughout the event. 2014 Season Pass Members can enjoy unlimited admittance to A Very Furry Christmas. About Sesame Place:
Ideal for families with young children, Sesame Place is the place where parents and children can share in the spirit of imagination and experience Sesame Street together. Sesame Place is located just 30 minutes north of Philadelphia and 90 minutes south of New York City. For more information, visit www.sesameplace.com or call 1.866.GO.4.ELMO.
* DRESS WARM! Even if it isn’t a windy day, expect that on rides it will be.
* Go online and map out your day with the shows, Santa visits, parade, etc. There’s so much to do other than the dry rides (weather permitting).
* Bring a blanket for the parade. Thanks to a super nice lady, my girls had a warm and cozy spot to rest their rumps. Had I tucked a blanket into the backpack it also could have served as extra warmth while waiting in the long line for the train ride.
* You can bring a small cooler! Save some money and time and pack some snacks and drinks for the family. I love that Sesame Place allows for that!
Disclaimer: Sesame Place invited me with 3 other guests to attend the Media Event on November 23rd. There, I was provided with press release information to share with our readers. All opinions are my own, from my memorable and fun day with my cousin and two of my daughters.
