CBS 3 Meteorologist Lauren Casey is giving local youngsters a chance to show off their forecasting skills on television. Casey will be hosting auditions for young broadcasters at the “Kidcaster Search” Friday, July 15, noon to 2 p.m. at Crayola Experience, 30 Centre Square, Easton, Pennsylvania.
Youngsters will be videotaped delivering a one-minute forecast on a simulated weather set. They may bring their own forecast, make one up on site or a script will be provided.
Video of the junior forecasters’ auditions will be posted at CBSPhilly.com/CBS3Kidcaster for the public to view. In addition, some of the top Kidcaster videos will be shown on CBS 3’s Eyewitness News at Noon program.
For additional details on the CBS 3’s “Kidcaster Search” and an application, go to www.CBSPhilly.com/cbs3kidcaster. A parent or legal guardian must sign the application.
